All vehicles require brake repairs…in the case of Audi brake repair, there are several options and depending on the use of the vehicle these options are important. In most newer german vehicles, especially on Audi’s, turning rotors or often referred to as brake discs is no longer an accepted protocol. This is because of the carbon on the brake discs, if you turn them you will actually change the chemical integrity of the carbon thus reducing the heat dissipation. Simply this means that a turned rotor or brake disc on an Audi is no longer as effective as a brand new one. This leaves with the option of replacing them or leaving them. The issue with not replacing them is that the old rotor is often worn and grooved to the old brake pad. When you replace the brake pad and leave the rotor untouched often times squeaks can be heard as well as slightly reduced braking power. Therefore we always recommend replacing brake pads and brake rotors when servicing the brake system. As well as replacing parts it is important to keep up with brake fluid flushes as well since these operate your calipers.
Using high quality german parts for audi brake repairs is an integral part of keeping the vehicle safe. Cheaper options are always available but besides the monetary difference they come with a trade off, and that is usually inferior construction using cheaper materials. There are certain cosmetic parts that in our opinion it is okay to replace with cheaper alternatives. In terms of brakes, we believe this is one of the most important if not the most important system in the vehicle. Audi’s produce a lot of power, especially if one is equipped with a turbo then you really need optimum braking power to be able to avoid anything that comes at you in the roads.
Brake repairs are not only replacing brake pads and rotors. Audi brake repairs include changing out abs sensors, replacing calipers, as well as replacing and programming new abs modules. Unfortunately audi abs modules fail more than we would like, but since this is such an important system of the vehicle it is important to have a shop that is not only capable of identifying the failure but also capable of installing and programming a new part without giving your the arduous task of going to the dealer for programming. This is why we invest in equipment that allows us program such modules to save our customers the hassle of needing to go somewhere else to complete a repair. So in conclusion if your Audi is having issues with braking, as far as lights flashing or simply noises, bring it in for a checkup and we can get to the bottom of it.

I have been using San Diego Bimmer MB since 1994. They are reasonable and honest and the mechanics are knowledgeable. Andy, Eva and Conrad are a pleasure to work with and go out of their way to accomodate my needs. i highly recommend their business. Molly McConnell
Really Great service here. I was in a time crunch and the guy (young tall male) expedited the process for me. Seemed like a family run business, everyone very friendly and accomodating. I would certainly go back, and am referring my roommates and friends go there when they need to as well!
Took my Nissan Altima in because it had a small, but growing, oil leak. They fixed it rather quickly and for much cheaper than a quote I received from another shop. I would recommend them to anyone. Infact, once the manufacturer's warranty is over on my other car, I will probably start taking it here!
They are great!!! I take my Mercedes only to them now. Real parts, great honest people, don't be fooled by the building they know what they are doing and at half the cost or more than the dealer!!!!!!!!
a small dinky lot with excellent customer service and great work on very technical, module related work on recent Audis. A great experience after a number of major let downs from the only Audi dealership on a very shiny lot within 20 miles.
I have been going to Adams Avenue Imports for years and highly recommend them. First I was taking my Toyota Camry and more recently my Audi A4. They have always fixed whatever problem I've had for a fair price in a reasonable amount of time. They are a pleasure to deal with - honest, reliable and even kind.... Recently I had an estimate for work from the dealer, and Adams Ave. Imports did the same work for a much lower rate. They are good people who do good work.
